Doula Services

My last five years (and over 90 births!) have taught me that when couples are able to benefit from my support through the full spectrum of pregnancy into the “fourth trimester”, we can work together to achieve a beautiful birth, a positive start to the breast feeding journey, and a supported transition into parenthood. It makes my heart happy to know that my clients feel like they have a go-to guide for all things baby!

Because of this long-term relationship, I choose to only support 12-15 doula clients per year.

Total Investment $1800

I believe everyone should be able to have a doula if they would like one & offer a sliding scale for those experiencing financial strain. Those who are able to pay full price help me to support those who are not & for that I am so grateful – thank you!

Phase 1: Prenatal Support

  • Two prenatal visits to understand your needs and desires for birth, provide childbirth education, define and understand our expectations of one another, and provide you and your partner with useful tools for labor and birth.
  • Birth preferences support to help you clarify your preferences for your labor & birth and explain the options that are available to you – we can create a birth plan together if you wish!
  • Access to my own personal Childbirth Education Course “Birth on a Budget” – comprehensive education for pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and breastfeeding to support your learning (access to my site shared via email).

Phase 2: Labor & Birth Support

  • Continuous physical, emotional, and informational support during your labor, to help you hold and move towards the vision you created for your baby’s birth – I will join you in labor whenever you are ready & stay until your baby has finished their first breast feeding.
  • Photos of your birth & the moments after birth as desired by client (to be taken on iphone and shared within 24 hours of birth).
  • Initial breastfeeding support immediately after birth to help your baby latch on properly and encourage establishment of breastfeeding. Additional support and encouragement with lactation as your milk arrives to help you ease into a successful breastfeeding journey at home.

Phase 3: Postpartum Support

  • In-person postpartum follow-up visits to process & celebrate the birth of your baby, provide lactation support, and answer any questions you have during the early postpartum period. We’ll chat about soothing methods, sleep, and how to move through your first three months with your baby.
  • Continued virtual (either phone, email, or zoom) support as needed to help you navigate any potential bumps along the road (clogged ducts, mastitis, engorgement, pumping, bottle-feeding).

Unlimited phone, text and e-mail support to answer your questions and offer suggestions and support throughout….
